1. Use a Face Mask When Outdoors

Try use an N95/99 mask when outdoors to help in breathing better. The mask also aids in less pollution intake in the body.


2. Refrain From Exercise Outdoors

Exercise is a daily routine for most people and it is an essential part of life. But not when the air is toxic and can harm the body with hazardous particles. Try shift the workout or exercise indoors.


3. Car Pool

Reduce the traffic on the roads and attempt to car pool with your friends or families. You can also choose public transport and car pooling cabs to assist in reducing the congestion and air pollution.


4. Add Air Purifying Plants

Air Purifying plants contributes in cleaning the air to a certain extent. They can be placed in offices or homes and reduce the indoor air pollution. Certain example of such plants are Devil’s Ivy, Spider Plant or Snake Plant/Mother-in-Law’s Tongue.


5. Avoid High Traffic Areas

Typically, air pollution from crowded roads or a highway will be densest around a 160m radius around it. This is where AQI (air pollution) is higher than other places and it is associated with high rates of asthma and reduced lung function.

So try to visit these places. But if it is unavoidable then it is best to wear an N95/99 face mask as above recommended.
